Before visiting the Museum of the World War II in Gdansk we had an opportunity to meet its founder Prof. Paweł Machcewicz to learn more in-depth about the history of its creation. That was a good chance to combine theoretical knowledge with empirical observations and locate the history of the museum in the current context of Polish politics of memory.
